It seems like electronic cigarettes are the new hot items to sell online these days. The reason for this is just the mass quantity of affiliate programs out there for electronic cigarettes. They are popular and more than just a fad because there are MANY who swear that the benefits of smoking e-cigs are real. I personally have enjoyed the benefits of SmokeStiks.
The reason for the boom in affiliate programs seem to be the vast amount of companies selling their own branded version of the electronic cigarettes. This is due to the low cost of actually importing them from companies in China that develop the product.
At first you may think that the 10-30% commission on sales for electronic cigarettes are appealing until you realize with a bit more effort, you can buy a bulk load of the products, brand them yourself and sell and market them. You can even set up your own affiliate program and have others sell it for you! Sounds easy right? Not so fast.
Anything that sounds easy and too good to be true, especially on the internet, usually are. Because of the ease of contacting a manufacturer of these products in China makes producing them at a low cost a very reachable reality, competition is very intense in the electronic cigarette field. Create a site, not unlike this one, and you will have manufacturers and other e-cig retailers bombarding your website with comments linking back to their sites trying to build traffic up. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, that’s just the way internet marketers work in a lot of specific product fields.
It also doesn’t mean that you can’t make money online from selling electronic cigarettes via affiliate programs. The reason for the boom in these program is because of the gain in popularity and the view that electronic cigarettes are only going to gain in popularity.
Most smokers haven’t even heard about the product yet but when they do, most of the hardcore smokers are interested in trying them to see if it can replace regular cigarettes. My hope is that the popularity of the electronic cigarettes online will catch on offline so that many people can benefit from them as well. Until then I will continue enjoying my SmokeStiks!!

The battety component houses the electricity needed to power the atomizer. And then finally the indicator light is an LED light which lights up when a user inhales(thus simulating the same effects as smoking a real cigarette)

The electronic cigarette doesnot burn tobacco like a traditional cigarette, but instead electionically heats up a liquid (typically stored in cartridges) which turns the liquid into vapour, very much like steam, which them a user can inhale. Are ECigarettes dangerous for you?

While the dangers of electronic cigarette smoking are still being investigating the initial research has been very positive.
